Formed in 2006 in the heavy metal hotbed of South Wales, Triaxis have spent the past few years successfully pushing themselves to the front-end of the British metal scene, not least with truly acclaimed live performances at the likes of Bloodstock Open Air and Hammerfest (twice each) plus Belgium’s Wizzfest. In addition, in October 2012 the band released second album “Rage and Retribution” on Rocksector Records, which was widely regarded as one of the metal releases of the year.
Both Metal Hammer and Terrorizer magazines covered the band in full page features, not to mention an avalanche of positive album reviews. A couple of examples are here….
“a sustained onslaught of triumphant melodies, blazing solos and brisk rhythmic precision” Metal Hammer
“brilliant melodic heavy metal.. add some glorious progressive shred.. gets to the point and hammers it home with great power and a lot of class” Powerplay
Triaxis sound great, look great and deliver a pulsating live show, all built around the truly outstanding lead vocalist talents of Krissie Kirby. Their influences were formed on a bedrock of Iron Maiden but the second album took things in a heavier, more technical and progressive direction, without straying at all from the hooks and familiarity with which the band had built its’ initial fanbase and reputation.
