Not content with already having Blaze Bayley (playing an exclusive Silicon Messiah 15th Anniversary show), NWOBHM heroes Avenger, former Xentrix and Hellfighters members, Black Whiskey, Die No More, Motherload and an acoustic set from Wizz Wizzard, the Radcliffe-based festival has added five more bands to it’s already impressive bill.
The new additions on the Dean Hocking Stage are Wizz’s fellow countrymen, Fireforce, who have recently released DeathBringer to a 9/10 review in PowerPlay, Austria’s Garagedays, and Britain’s Knock Out Kaine, who are currently causing a serious stir with their latest music video Set The Night On Fire, featuring a cameo appearance by none other than Iron Maiden’s airraid-siren-in-chief, Bruce Dickinson and The Amorettes, who stormed the Jagermeister Stage at Bloodstock last weekend with their infectious brand of no-nonsense Hard Rock. Steel Threads have also been added to the bill on the Metal Nation Radio Acoustic Stage.
Many more bands are yet to be chosen and announced, so keep an eye on this very page for news as it breaks.
The 2015 edition of The SOS Festival, presented for the eighth year by independent Manchester-based Rocksector Records, takes place on 17th – 19th July. Tickets are already on-sale for the frankly ludicrous prices of £15 for the whole shebang (17th-19th) and £10 for Saturday or Sunday single tickets. The newly instituted Friday night is charged separately at £5.
Where else can you go see that many bands for a whole weekend for less than the price of a decent sized round?
