Beholder call it quits

It’s always sad when a band splits up, but considering they were one of the best of the underground bands on the circuit, and were so passionate about their craft, it’s just that bit worse.

This was posted on Beholder‘s Facebook page this morning:

It’s with a heavy heart that I feel it’s time for me to call it a day for Beholder as a working band. The decision has not been taken lightly as I, along with Chris, Scott and Si, have invested so much time into a project we all believed in.

However my own personal investment, both physically, emotionally and financially has run it’s course and with ever changing personal circumstances I think it’s unfair on anyone for me to continue. This is purely my call and not necessarily the wishes of the others, so I take soul ownership on the decision and needless to say I hope everyone supports them in whatever projects they move forward with.

Anyone who has been in a working band for any amount of time will understand that the dynamics, the bonds and the enduring relationships between band members is something that cannot be recreated in any other environment. Ever! With Beholder we are no different and I thank the guys for being there on so many occasions and hope they understand, in time, my reasoning for having to call it.

Needless to say there are so many we have to thank for what has been a great ride and none more so than the supporters who have invested time, the money and most importantly the kind responses, which any band worth its salt will tell you, is the real reason we do what we do. In time I hope to get round to thanking as many of you as possible, but for now i’m done.

Thanks for the last 15 years.
